Childhood Stuttering Research at Michigan State University

We are investigating the brain bases of developmental stuttering, which may lead to better assessment and treatment options for children who stutter. By examining speech and brain development trajectories in boys and girls who stutter, we hope to find clues to why some children recover from stuttering while others don't, and why more boys continue to stutter than girls.
